Our Mission statement
The Manacare Foundation works to make lives easier for those around the world living in danger, in areas lacking sufficient medical facilities or knowledge, and in areas around where starvation exists
What we do?
The Manacare Foundation has set up a variety of sustainable projects around the world to support the most vulnerable amongst us. Our previous projects in countries such as Siberia, Egypt and Sierra Leone are now almost totally self-sustaining and autonomous.
Our current project in Sri Lanka was set up in 2004 immediately after the Tsunami. Using funds raised in Spain we were able to purchase the land and initial building materials to set up the Hopes and Dreams Village in Tellawatte. Hope and Dreams Village provides education, physiotherapy and social care to physically challenged adults and children. We also teach vocational skills and provide employment to the local community through our housemaid training courses and handicraft workshops.
A special thanks to Click Collect Clothes
Click Collect Clothes have supported us in our mission to make lives easier for those around the world living in danger, in areas lacking sufficient medical facilities or knowledge, and in areas around where starvation exists. Rather than send excess clothes to landfill, Click Collect Clothes want to help you recycle your end of line goods ethically, all whilst raising money for charity.
